Every year myself and a few like  minded individuals visit somewhere in Europe and explore for a few days.    We pick a city in Europe and just go, camera in hand.  We have come from the Netherlands, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Abu Dhabi, the Czech Republic and the length and breadth of the UK.   On our first trip I had never met any of my fellow travellers before arriving in Prague.  Rarely do I get to meet these people aside from when we converge in whatever foreign land we find ourselves in.   However we have a common bond and this will be our 5th year of exploring, Lisbon, Prague, Paris and Barcelona having been past destinations.  This year we are going to discover Venice and the quote from Mark Twain below seems appropriate for the spirit in which our adventures are undertaken.

   “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.   Catch the trade winds in your sails.   Explore.   Dream.   Discover.”
