Happiness through my eyes –

Here we are again for our March blog circle.  As I write this, on a Sunday evening at 7.00pm it is still light, well perhaps I am being generous and twilight might be more appropriate.  We are almost ready to say goodbye to March for another year and roll headlong into Spring.  We have been blessed this year in the UK with surprisingly early warm spring days, enabling clothes to be shed, ice creams to be eaten and walks to be taken without wellies.  Below are some moments from this weekends walk. I love spring, perhaps more than summer.  Spring to me is anticipation, it is the promise of more, the interim period between those dark, dreary grey days to the warmth of summer, those full content days that linger, that feel extended just by the virtue of having those extra daylight hours.  However summer is bittersweet.  You know those days aren’t infinite, the night visiting earlier and earlier each day.  Summer to me feels like sand falling through your hands and there is nothing you can do to hold it still.  So spring is to be savoured, enjoyed and hopefully continued by a full and fruitful summer. Head on over to Kristen’s blog to see her truly gorgeous interpretation of happiness for March. DSC_8041editDSC_8092DSC_8127DSC_8137DSC_8049DSC_8042DSC_8123DSC_8141DSC_8146

I love that your girls are wearing pretty dresses and playing in the mud! The dirty knees remind me of my two girls. (age 3 and 4) Your photography is stunning!ReplyCancel

Louise, I love to read your writing! You are such a picturesque story teller weaving words with a bit of magic. The images of the children are charming! I love the sequined lace/blush skirt dress. Do they make that in my size? 😀 I loved your analogy about summer and it being like sand falling through your fingers. Thanks for reminding me of the joys of spring! Cheers!ReplyCancel

Louise, Oh my goodness, I adore everything about these. Its’s when I see shots like these that I wish I had a girl. I too love the contrast of the gorgeous dresses and the mud. I really enjoyed your post this month.ReplyCancel
